“If the only prayer you ever say is ‘Thank You’ that will be enough.”
I want to start this blog as I mean to go on, with the energy of gratitude and love in my heart.
You would think saying thank you would be incredibly easy, but I sometimes struggle to put the full extent of my emotion into a tangible form. Emotions for me aren’t able to be summarised in a few sentences, but I’m going to try my absolute best in this post, and all of the posts to come.
One of my absolute favourite quotes is “if the only prayer you ever say is ‘thank you’ that will be enough.”
First off, I want to say thank you to my family but especially my brothers, Leanne, and my dad. You’ve helped me get through so much this past year. No amount of ‘thank you’s could ever be enough.
To my mum – who I’d like to give a special mention – thank you for never giving up on me, thank you for seeing me at my absolute worst, thank you for picking me up, dusting me off – and loving me always. I know you have cried more tears over me this past year than you ever thought possible. Even so, you never stopped being a massive source of strength for me. In my darkest moments you helped see me through to the light. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
To my boyfriend Cameron: you never fail to amaze me. I have been a believer of divine timing for a long while, and you showed up in my life at a time when I didn’t believe in love. You showed up when I had closed down, and you showed me exactly why and how that was the wrong thing to do. Thank you for never giving up on me – and for seeing me as you do.
(I only have a few more moments of gratitude to express! Promise.)
To all of my colleagues at Impressions Creative Solutions – not only have you all been there throughout the tears and the hardest of times – you remind me why it’s so important to love what you do, and to have an amazing team to do it with. Thank you for making me smile, making me laugh and celebrating everything in life with me. Thank you Rob, Gill, Risa, Claire, Sue, and of course… my mum (again!) Without you all, this website wouldn’t even be online. (Please go check out Impressions Creative Solutions if you need any printing or website work done. Click Here.)
To all of my friends, Thank you. You have all kept me sane and loved, and I feel so amazingly blessed to have you all in my life.
Wyatt, there is not a day that goes by that I do not miss you. You taught me that love has never been based in the physical. I never knew how much I could love someone I didn’t even get to meet, you have been and always will be my biggest inspiration and my biggest teacher. You will always be my Son. You and your mum were the biggest instigators of change in my life, and I cannot thank you both enough for being the brave ones, and for helping me become who I am today.
Wyatt, I dedicate this blog and all my healing work to you. Until we meet again this is how I shall keep you.
