About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name’s Jack (if you hadn’t already noticed) and by getting to this point you’re now legally obliged to read the whole thing. So here are some reasons that’s not a bad thing, I promise!

All you really need to know about me is that I’m essentially a cross between a foul-mouthed old lady and a spiritual gangster (I know that you love a well placed f-bomb, sorry Mum- I know you’re reading this!)

Like many old ladies, I’ve done my time of fluffing stuff up. I don’t believe in the fluffy approach to healing. This is the hardest but most rewarding thing we will ever do for ourselves, those around us and our family line.

This blog is an outlet for me to talk about my journey to bettering myself. I want to be open and honest with myself, so by telling my truth to others I can hold myself accountable to achieving my goals and committing to change.

My blog is here to offer all my story. All of the negatives (or as I call them, catalysts), the positives, and everything in between are all a part of my journey. Having struggled with addiction, I want to share my path to sobriety, to show others that we’re not alone in our struggles, and that we can make real positive change in our lives even when society has already counted us out.

Spirituality has always been important to me. Cultivating my inner connection to a higher power during my journey is vital to my sobriety. Over the course of a few years I’ve studied Reiki, crystal therapy and sound therapy as well as several other healing modalities. These have been, and continue to be, the biggest key part in my journey to my cultivation of inner peace, and rediscovery of my inner divine being.

All I want is to show other struggling people the path to light. My service to others is how I plan to help myself, and by learning to live in the present, continue living a happier, healthier life.

Where I am now and where I hope to be someday may be far apart, but recording my experiences is what I want to use to keep me going. In sharing those feelings, struggles and positivity, I hope to bring about change in my life and the lives of others.

This is my journey as seen through my human eyes and felt through my soul. Take what you need from my blog; I hope it serves you well!

My prayer is that the words in these posts really connect with your soul, and I trust that the universe has a reason for bringing you here. I hope that what I say can help nourish you, guide you, comfort you and hold you, and encourage you to keep reaching for the light.

Yours,
